Editors on our full of features Drupal sites often ask "But what are all these things for? Can't you make them go away?".
I always have to deal with some of the options which appear at content creation/edit and make them disappear again into the world of wonderful unused features.
Here you go, take this weapon and kill the bloody options which confuse the innocent editor:
Download Edit Options module
Install note: Copy the module and enable it, then go to www-your-site-com/admin/settings/edit_options and check the options you want to be seen for each user role (and, of course, uncheck the ones to become invisible).
Future development note: The module is functional and is ready to be used. Still, I think it needs some more settings (default values and a per-content-type selection). Will be done ASAP.
